We held our 6th Flying Day and barbecue at Popham Airfield on 14^th August 2011.  100 members and guests enjoyed short flights over the Hampshire, Berkshire countryside in almost perfect flying conditions.  Those waiting or not flying were entertained by classic De Havilland and other makes of aircraft using the airfield or chatted to members and admired the range of both classic and modern Jaguar cars on display.   In glorious sunshine we enjoyed the barbecue, cooked our chef’s Tony, Derek and Mike, our thanks to them and to the Sue’s, Margaret, and the other ladies who served us. Also our thanks go to John Greenaway for organising the day, to Phil Parkinson for running the flight check in desk  and the Pilots (Those Magnificent Men in their flying Machines) for fabulous flights.
